Paphos is a very popular holiday location. Among its attractions are its ancient mosaic floors, its beautiful old harbour and many restaurants, situated along the seaside promenade. Other sights include an archaeological museum, the Byzantine castle of Paphos, the Tombs of the Kings, St. Paul’s Pillar and the Temple of Aphrodite (the goddess of love and beauty).

The main shopping lane, which runs parallel to the beach promenade, is the ideal tourists' marketplace. Shoppers can also head to the old town, known as Ktima - more relaxing than the hustle and bustle in the new town with narrow winding strrets, souvenir shops and local markets.
Paphos is the mythical birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite - legend has it that when the sunsets if you swim naked around her rock 20 times you will look 20 years younger! (hopefully your relaxing holiday will make you feel this way anyway!)
